Neutral safety switch

Is there anyway to bypass the neutral safety switch? My 93 Camry is a 2nd car and I certainly don't want to drop 200 dollars on a new one. The car will only start if I jiggle the swift lever between neutral and drive. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can bypass it. You'll need to tap into the starter relay, I believe. I had to do this to get around a clutch switch, but that was two years ago so I don't remember where they went.

One wire to the starter wire (black and white) under the dash, and all the way to the relay in under hood fuse box. I think that's all that was needed actually...

my car did that too but it did sit for a few years too. it don't really do it now though. it does have trouble with reverse lights coming on. have to drive around some and shift a few times before it starts to work again. can tell because the reverse light in the dash comes on when the reverse lights are working. i don't have the money to get another one too. can't clean it out or have anyone that could too.
