96 Camry - Replaced rear struts - front end alignment?

I just had the rear strut assemblys replaced on my 96 Carmy...
Just wondering if I need to have a wheel alignment now?
Thanks in advance!

Anytime you work on the suspension you want to get an alignment.. right now you're ruining your tires without an alignment after changing rear struts.

Yup, you'll need one. At most shops, the price for a 4 wheel alignment and a 2 wheel is almost the same. I would go with the 4 wheel

Technically OP is supposed to get an alignment anytime suspension components are changed. But my guess is the rear struts don't change it.

OP should consider a place that does lifetime alignments (that honors the deal even when more parts are replaced later). It should usually be less than 2x separate alignments.

If your alignment was good before you replaced your struts, it should not change with new ones. There is no adjustment possible on most Asian cars, unlike some other vehicles where the strut bolts go through an oval hole and allow for tweaking. But it is still not a bad idea to get the alignment checked after doing major suspension work.

Thanks everyone..

I went ahead and did the alignment...it wasn't off that much anyway..but I hadn't rotated the tires in a while and I figure I'd rebalance at the same time...

Found this thread in a search...

Just replaced the rear struts w/ monroe quick struts in my 96 camry... The FSM said the rear camber is not adjustable. Is there anyway the rear camber is off now? I torqued the 3 top bolts to spec, and will have the tire shop torque the big 19mm bolts to spec when I get new tires/an alignment check.

Also, the rear of the car is sitting higher than before - Monroe's instructions said this is normal and will take a week or two for the quick struts to break in and then, they will be lowered. Should I wait for them to break in before getting an alignment done?

Thanks

yes, it's recommended for the sake of tires lifespan.

it helps to keep the tie in values zeroed out.

re-balancing tires is always a good idea too if it hasn't been done in a while
