My car is no longer a wreck, revived w/photos

This work was done about 2 weeks ago but I've been busy unable to get around to posting pics. Anyhow, here's a before and after of the photos. I got the work done for a lot less than the body shops were asking for, thru an independent body work specialist. Still have some work to do, but at least I can finally open my doors and not be embarrassed to have people hop over the seat LOL. I gave up on trying to find a Black door. I am convinced that these year model Camrys were never made in Black. I have yet to find one that was Black, and if it was it was not the original like mine. My original color was midnight blue. But, the inside trim of the door matches LOL

I wasn't too happy with the welding job on the next photo, but for $640 I wasn't complaining. Mind you, most estimates were in the $2,000 range, just for that one area.

Looks must better than the duct tapes. Three more white doors and you'll be looking like the Fuzz.

I wouldn't worry about the welds in the door jamb as long as they are strong. No one would notice unless they open the door. But I would hit the area with some etching primer to prevent surface rust.

LOL, I said the same thing! The cop cars here in West Denver have all white doors but are Black all around. I'm tempted to go back to the yard and get all 3 doors from that same car LOL. I was going to go with green or blue but I thought this one was more plain looking.

But I have to say thanks to 2wickedtoyz for suggesting I get a new door to start with. We were chatting on the phone a few times trying to get it fixed. Unfortunately with the damage the only thing that could move it was a frame machine, a come along just wouldn't be able to LOL. But once I started looking for the door, I was able to open it and in the process of finding a door I was referred to the guy who fixed it.

By the end of the summer I should have it repainted, dents fixed and looking normal. Then I'll probably cave in and sell it
