Check engine after some service P0441 & P0446

I did all the work except the battery terminal cleaning mentioned in this thread.

This evening I am getting a check engine light on with P0441 & P0446. I am taking it back to these guys tomorrow.. do you guys know what could have been missed or messed? Thanks in advance.

IIRC those are the EVAP failure codes. could be a loose or cracked gas tank cap (or bad gasket on cap), check it first.

Just came back from mechanic. He tightened(with a plastic tie) one of the black tubes running into the valve and that seems to have fixed it..

it's a temp fix

if line was cracked then it needs to be replaced. possibly he also reset the codes, so it may come back on its own in a few days.

ah, then he must have used SAE vacuum line and not an OE metric replacement. probably the new line's inner diameter is larger than original, that's why the hose is loose and was causing the vacuum leak in first place.
