Its gone. Sorry.

Make sure to push for as much money you can from the other persons insurance. Also, talk to your insurance since they should represent you just in case you need it.

Thats totally big-time structural, and a right-off.
Must have been one hell of a smack too. The cars are pretty tough in that area. Hope your OK.

ouch ... sorry for your loss!

pretty sure the insurance will claim it a total loss.

... but you could ask around local body shops that do some junk yard cars restoration and ask them how much for fixing it (show them pics)

then ask insurer how much for buying it back from them and maybe you will still have the car and some money in pocket, only difference the car will carry a Salvage title.

It would cost more to repair than the KBB value. There might be some suspenion damage as well, not safe.

Seems like it Yeah, I'm calling 100% totalled in this case too.... Man, sad day today... For a second I thought this was another thread and I got confused since I just replied there as well...

In a nutshell, what he said. I don't know how it works in other states, but in Michigan, if the repair exceeds 75% of the value then it's declared a total loss, but exceptions ARE made as I found out... If the shop can convince them that the car can be repaired at the car's NADA/KBB value, and the owner has no alternative, they may just go for it.
