Gen 4 Clutch master in a Gen 3?

so i was an idiot in the part store and said after 7/96 for the master and slave ... well i was freaking out all day thinking i ordered the wrong slave and checked rock auto, good news is the 7/96+ slave is the same as the 01 s54 slave.

bad news is it seems that the the after 7/96 master has a different reservoir, now i'm lazy and dont have the proper place i should be installing this, so will this master fit or will there be too many differences in fitment?

i need new synco's now

but no go on the other master, the gen 4 tube connection is off set by about 45 degrease

also looks like the push rod is shorter (didn't check side by side)

bad news is i think it's my master is bad i'm going to try and rebleed the system tomorrow if anything only 1500km till i can get another one

Can you pull the tube off the gen 4 one and replace it with the old gen 3 one? What about changing push rods?

yes you will need the gen 4 hard line (i can guess i you can bend the gen 3 hard line but i dont know if you want to bend the hard line)

you can use the gen 3 push rod can be used you just need to take the dust boot off and remove the retaining spring clip and swap them out

so here are the gen 3 and 4 side by side, the cleaner one .left is the gen4




the mounting screws are the same? i think on the master from the gen 3 there is using the ome screws from the master i pull from the junk yard that i replaced before i cant remember it was 6 years ago. the push rods are the same length

gen 4 has a smaller weight i currently have the smaller gen 4 in but i'm going to switch to then gen 3 now
