How to tension belts

I will be attempting a timing belt change this coming weekends.
I couldn't find a definite answer to my questions below. Those who have done this in the past, please help..

1. How do I tension PS Belt. (just use a pry bar and push the mount as far as it goes and tighten? or any tools that I need to use to tension (like "torquing a bolt"?)

2. For alternator belt, tighten the screw bolt on the atlernator so that the belt is snugg (check with a finder for 1/4" deflection?)

3. For Timing belt, try max tension on the firewall side and push the belt tensioner with a prybar to top and tighten.

4. For Cam shaft torque, use a clamp to hold it down and torque it?

5. for crank shaft torque, will i be able to clamp it down and torque? If

First time TB change and I want to get this thing right. After reading so many posts and so many different problem people are having, i want to avoid as much mistakes or "that looks right" as possible.

Appreciate your help on this.

Thanks
John

ok hope this helps:
1. check out 1mzfe power steering belt install
2. Thats what i did, use the bolt to tension and measure about 1/4" deflection when you push down
3. Yes, the spring should tension that belt, but you can also slightly push up on the pulley to increase tension then tighten bolt.
4. I went the easier way and purchased a camshaft holding tool.
5. To tighten the crankshaft bolt, i removed the air-box and starter and wedged a pry-bar in there to stop rotation as someone else torqued the bolt down.

By the way save yourself the future headaches and replace the oil seals, and water-pump while you have it apart. Good luck!

I'd get a Gates Krikit-II Micro-V belt tension tester. (Gates 91132, ~$17 on Amazon).
