Front and rear swaybar upgrades, were the single most impressive thing I ever did to my old 81' Corolla, and before that a 76' Celica GT. Better and bigger tires made them stick better, but really emphasized the light duty sway control those cars had. (originally front bars only). Second was the wheels/tires, third was upgraded shocks. I can't comment on the Whiteline brand, but the idea is well worth it. Much more comfort and control while cornering.
