So this is pretty much as far as you can go on these cars without fender modifications. (In 17x8" wheelsize) In fact, these rub, and would require slight rolling of the rear wheel wells to clear in all but really granny driving.
This will give you 2-3mm inside clearance on the rear strut supports, and -1 to maybe -2m clearance on the outside or the rear fender wells. Sorry guys, I don't have the offset numbers on the G35 sedan available, but this set-up centers the tire for best possible clearance on inside and ouside witin mm. Now this is with 60 series, 225 tires. You can get bigger rims in there, but they will have to have smaller and skinner tires. This set will fit just fine with 215-50's, or maybe 55's and not rub. But again, it will bee about mm. of clearance on the inside and outside without rolloing fenders. IMHO, in anything other than a Florida or Texas climate, rolling fenders with be a death call for rust on your rear fenders. I'll never do it.
