Did you replace the pads when you replaced the rotors?

Vibration while breaking is usually an indication that the pads and rotors are misaligned. Since the wheel shakes too I would say its coming from the front. My guess is the new rotors you installed somehow warped as this is a dead indication that this is happening when you brake only.

I would bring it to a shop and have them check the run-out on the rotors. My guess is its going to be excessive.

I would pull the tires back off, inspect the rotors, pull the caliper off make sure that the slide pins are greased enough, check the wheel bearing for play. Check the pads for Grooves and proper wear (hint: They should be wearing evenly. if one side is wearing more than the opposite side, you are having a problem with the caliper possibly hanging up).

these are quick and easy checks you can do. if you do not find anything, i suggest bringing it to a mechanic and having them check the rotors for run-out

It wouldn't be the first time someone bought new rotors that were warped right out of the box.

what brand of rotors? were they new or open box?

what and how old brake pads in front? have you sanded them a little bit in circular motion to remove old glaze?

also make sure you haven't left anything loose (e.g. caliper anchor bolts), or e.g. misaligned the rotor on hub before installing the wheel on it, etc.

As far as checking the wheel bearing goes: with the corner jacked up grab the tire at the 3-9 o'clock positions and try to move it, then at the 6-12 o'clock positions to check for a (really) loose wheel bearing. If there is visible looseness then it's already past excessive (because the real check is with a dial gauge).

Grab the steering tie rod and try to push it in/out, up/down, left/right and see if there is any movement of the inter/outer joints.

Did OP use a torque wrench to tighten lug nuts?

I've no need for them so didn't try, but there are also shops that offer free brake system inspections. For example a QuickLane coupon:

"FREE Brake Inspection

Inspect brake friction material, caliper operation, rotors, drums, hoses and connections. Inspect parking brake for damage and proper operation. See Service Advisor for details . Offer valid with coupon.
Expires: 05/31/11 "

just my 2 cents.

wheel bearing failures were undetectable on my car when doing the shake test. zero problems revealed by it. and yet they failed totally (have you seen a car running on hubs after bearings seized completely? I had one)

and as per checking outer tie rod ends and sway bar end links (unrelated here). if you are able to twist rod/link by the boot (counterclockwise-clockwise) then they are loose and do not perform its function.
end result is the steering will feel loose (tie rod ends) even though things are bolted right and no cracks in boot, or (per sway bar end links) the car will sway excessively (e.g. when cornering or taking turns at hwy speeds) even though boots are not torn and there is no other movement on link like out/in, left/right or up/down and bolts are properly torqued down.

just my 2 cents.
