does anyone know if a new oem window motor/regulator for the gen4 will be as fast as the ones for the new cars ?

...or do the newer cars just come with faster motors compared to the ones they came with 10 years ago ?

yes, they will be just as fat as on the "new" cars

if yours is going slow, it's because it need replacing

I wonder if you could hook a transformer in line with the window motor circuit and up the voltage a bit to speed things up. I'd be curious as to how much voltage you could pump through the motor before it fried. It might be a fun Pick-N-Pull project.

If that doesn't work at least putting 12 volts to EACH window would be awesome because from what I'm thinking when you normally try to raise/lower all 4 windows at the same time you're possibly dividing up the voltage and only getting 3volts per window.
