Sea Foam cleaning didn't solve problem this time.

My '95 Camry LE suddenly lost power up hills and has an uneven throttle in park and at stops which never settles. I was able to solve the uneven throttle problem last year with a TB cleaning using Sea Foam as posted here. I did a TB clean today which had no effect. Never lost power before. Any recommendations?

check the condition of the timing belt. Make sure its tight between the camshaft and the water pump. If it skipped 1 or 2 teeth there will be a noticeable power loss.

Belt looks okay. Took some video showing.
1. Tail pipe sputtering.
2. RPM dips in park and drive (with foot on brake)
3. Engine compartment.

Looking for more suggestions how to fix. Need this car to work and not go on me!

It looks like you have 125,000 miles on the car. How old are the ignition system components; plugs, plug wires, disctributor cap and rotor? Have they ever been changed? Does the car have the original coil? Is the problem worse in wet/damp weather? You are at the mileage where the coil can start to cause problems. I suggest you test it for being in spec with a digital volt/ohmeter and the specs from any manual and also remove it from inside the distributor and inspect it for hairline cracks.

I will try changing the plugs first as they're 5+ years old. Cap, wires, and rotor have also been changed 5+ as well as a new coil about 6 years ago. The idle problem does not seem to be affected by wet/damp weather. I did another TB sea foam clean this weekend which seemed to help.

I cannot duplicate the power loss problem going uphills but do feel a slight hesitation then pull when first going into a hill. It also seems like I have to give the car more gas than before in order to make it up a hill even though it feels like I'm going slower than usual. Most importantly, I noticed a slight squealing sound when climbing the hill coming from under the car on the passenger side. The sound doesn't last the whole hill climb only when the engine is working the hardest. Is this the beginning of a transmission related problem?

That noise may be unrelated to your original problem. That's where the 2 accessory belts are located, assuming you have the 4 cylinder 5SFE engine. See if you can have someone rev the engine in park for you (don't overrev it), while you listen in that area for any belt squeak. Also, inspect the belts for glazing and cracking on the sides that contact the pulleys.

How many miles does that equate to? Also, are these OEM or aftermarket parts?

Thanks. Will have help this weekend for the rev test. I did spray some belt dressing on the pulleys and haven't noticed the squeak as much but it still does exist. As far as the parts, I believe all aftermarket and I'm thinking about 50k-60k miles ago. Picked up the plugs today and will install this weekend. The recent heatwave here (90+ degrees) is making warm starts a problem.
