Extended Warranty for 2000 Toyota Camry

Today, I bought a 2000 Toyota Camry LE with 88000 Miles on it. Please suggest a Good Extended Warranty that I can take for Cleveland/Columbus areas in OHIO. I plan on driving this for 60000 miles. Please kindly let me know.

Thanks

No ones gonna give you a warranty on a 10 year old car. If they do its gonna be one of the joke scam warranties that dont cover anything that breaks.

Its a reliable car. You dont need a warranty. Take good care of it and it will last 200k miles. Dropping 1000 on a warranty with a 500$ deductible would be just stupid, since nothing costs more than 1500 to fix on this car.

If it's got 88k on it and you're only planning to put another 60k, I wouldn't worry about warranty. I don't see anything major breaking until your tranny could start to go around 160-170k (that's when they usually go...) Even that is just $1300 to rebuild.

Unless the warranty is less than $100/month with no deductible, if is not worth it. Just make sure you do proper maintenance, and you'll be all set.

if timing belt hasn't been done recently then it's up for timing belt change and all the stuff involved (WP, seals, gaskets, coolant, thermostat, belts, etc.). easily $500 at local shop with cheap parts of even more with OEM parts.

minor tune up would be a good idea too (A/F filters and spark plugs, get new wires if you suspect problems with old ones).

I also recommend all other fluids flush (transmission, differential, brakes, power steering) and an oil change with some decent oil filter

there is a bunch of minor stuff also which you can do, but don't have to like new rad cap, tank cap, PCV valve and grommet, rubber hoses replacement, etc.
