Ugh...chipped paint on fender?

After doing my power steering flush, I noticed their is small speck where it looks like paint chipped off. I don't think the ATF did it >_> hope not.

Best way to fix this so it doesn't rust?

Also it's gray...so it looks like it's primer underneath (not positive). It's one of the areas I had painted in december...looks like someone's keys or pocketbook hit it...maybe a rock...really stupid.

if its a small chip, get a small bottle of touch up paint, and using a tooth pick or q-tip dab the paint on the primered area. Could be poor prepping that caused the paint to chip as well. If it doesn't adhere to the primer correctly, its basically floating there so when something hits it, it chips a lot easier.

Gah I hope this shop didn't screw me. I'm thinking what happened was this small strip, I primered it originally, and never got around to spraying it, so I took it to the shop. I believe they redid the primer on the hood...but on this little strip of the fender...I doubt they redid it, which is why it chipped when something hit it.

I essentially did what you said perkins, but I bought a touch up pen instead...it says universal black...brush and pen...autozone said it should fit the 202 code I gave them. Should fit it more if anything because the paint the chip is on is pretty shiny and new.

I'm going to try it this weekend and see how it goes..
