Make yourself alot of room ( sounds like you did ) . Get a flair nut wrench( if you round it off you will not be happy) .Make sure you clean any rust /dirt / grease before you try to loosen it. change any compression washers.

throughly douse that connection with PB blaster and let it sit for 30 minutes to help break the bond. try removing the bracket holding the filter in place so the filter can spin easily. you really dont want to round off the nut or twist the fuel line.

you have to use 2 wrenches. 1 must be flare nut wrench for turning the nut (14mm was it?) and the other can be a regular (19mm if I remember right) open end wrench to support the filter body in place.

you have to position 2 wrenches so they form like a 1 or 2 o'clock position, minding the perspective (you are looking at the flare nut from top, so it's upside down) and make sure you will be turning the nut in correct direction (clockwise when looking from top).

with use of of 2 wrenches together with one (or both) hands it will be easy to loose it. you just need to sort of close them together like scissor blades, since supporting wrench won't move, the flare nut will turn.

you only need to make sure, you position them right, so you do not tighten the nut even more.

worked for me on 2 cars, once at 80k miles, other time at 124k miles with no problem and both filters were original factory ones.

we eventually got it with the help of half a can of deep creep, my bolts were rusted. what a pain though, a 15 minute job took 1 and a half days and 2 trips to autozone, hahaha we suck.

new question, ill probably end up posting in a new thread though:

is there a way to delete the automatic headlight sensor? so i just use the switch, because my buddy and i like to go stealth mode when avoiding the fuzz late at night, cause basically right now the switch is useless, unless in day time, or when my engine is off. ('01 cam LE)

thanks,
Zach
