I'm just guessing, but I'll bet the Scion tc's, "V-4", CAI is actually a "cold air intake", and not just a tube with a cone filter, that will suck in HOT air from the engine bay. It will probably include ducting and shrouding that isolates a more open, freer flowing air filter from those conditions, and is custom fit to the tc's engine bay, and has access to outside "cold air". I seriously doubt that the tc's CAI system will fit in your Camry.

A tube with a cone filter under the hood, alone, is simply a "cool noise maker". A true CAI should have two things: 1.0, it should be more free flowing than the stock system, and 2.0, it must actually have access to cooler air outside of your engine bay in some sort of ducted and insulated manner. The point of a CAI is to bring a cooler charge of air to the engine in a freer flowing manner. Less restriction = more flow potential, cooler air = denser air charge. Chrome tubes with cool looking cone filters will create extra cool noise, and nothing else.
