LMFAO yeah G35 swap sounds like the solution

But i mean i LOVE the ways the G35 sounds so do out think after a lil modding a camry can sound it like it? or does the sound come from the engine and not the exhaust.?

@lemegacool keep us updated on that, sounds awesome dont forget to post pics up on a thread, also i should be getting my headers sometime this summer

I have a stock exhaust with an IS300 Muffler and it sounds pretty damn good I think.

My wife has driven it a few times and it's sound pretty good under load.

what is your cars specs?
i4 or v6
auto or 5spd
cai or rai
headers or stock

Your car would adapt and get almost the same tone. the only way is to try it. also most people throw the exhaust away so you could get it for cheap

no, ya really cant. there are so many factors that determine sound and a lot of that comes from displacement. But you can sound like a V6 and personally, i find the 1mz to be one sexy sounding motor. This vid is just the Obx headers (old style) and a catback.

There are not many V6s that sound this good!

No you can't. The VQ engine design is completely different from the 1MZ, different placement, and resonators, so you don't get the same low-tone growl. You can get it close through custom piping and such, but not close to the stock VQ. Although, I am lucky enough to have a car with that engine and I love the sound. =)

bigbird, that 1MZ sounds amazing. Almost close to the new M-B V8s and BMWs.

That, and that. Not to be another downer on this idea, and as much as I like it, I think you would just get frustrated trying to duplicate the sound...

When you have a car that can sound like THAT, why would you want to be different?
Sounds great bigbird
