My new Camry

Have been without a Toyota of any kind in a couple of years and really miss the simplicity of maintenance and reliability, so I just picked up a '96 Camry LE for 600 bucks, rust free but some light accident damage to the rad support and hood, fenders are straight. Almost completely rust free, it was an American car I can see as the speedo is in MPH. The paint is baked, but for the price I paid I might buy a paint gun and spray it myself, couldnt turn out worse than a maaco job but would no doubt cost less lol. Pics to come when it shows up in the driveway!

Nope, not that one, thats way too far to go to get a car, I'm in Cold Lake. The one I got isnt a rebuilt title, nor does it need an OOP or salvage title because it wasnt claimed. All I need is a rad/core support, grille and hood from pick n pull to repair it. Mine also has over 100000Km's less than that one (only has 110000 miles)

Most of the body abuse overall looks like it can be buffed out, other than the rear bumper and obviously the collision damaged parts. Drives straight and silent, no surprises, but the rear struts are completely toast so that takes priority for now. I'll grab pics tomorrow.

Here she is, washed and polished (minus the hood and front bumper which need to be replaced. I wanted to see what scratches would come out with a mild polish and what will need more work with rubbing compound. The paint is peeling from the hubcaps, so they are going into the sand blaster and will be re-painted.

I would say for $600, it looks pretty good! What does the engine look like? Any bad oil leaks?

A good deal maybe!

Engine is clean besides the leaking valve gasket, honestly, it is the first vehicle in years that I've had that doesnt drip anything at all on the driveway and that includes my POS '08 Chev Uplander. The last car that didnt drip was an '85 4wd Tercel and an '07 Yaris... I see a trend forming... The engine is as smooth and silent as a new one.
