oil leak/ real slugish

so i had a oil leak on my 5sfe on the back of my motor tought it was from the valve cover so i replaced the rubber gasket and it still leaks oil onto my exhaust causes a big cloud of smoke anybody know where it could be comeing from
and now for some reason when i floor it in first my car barley moves at all till like high rpms and even then it still super slugish like at 6k im doing barly 35 is that and i know thats not right
any advice on that?

Did you get a kit with spark plug tube seals? And did you use dabs of RTV at the specified points (joints of semi-circular plugs and the base of the cam cap?) The sealing surfaces should be clean and dry (clean with alcohol).

With a $18.19 kit like the following the tube nuts are tightened down to 17 lb/ft. And retorqued after a few heat cycles.

Also, the flaring issue with the transmission is probably separate from the valve cover leak.

Concerning the oil leak: If the oil is leaking onto the exhaust pipe, then it is coming from either the valve cover gasket/plugs, distributor (assuming your 5sfe has one?), rear main seal, or any combination of these. In addition to the valve cover gasket, the distributor housing o-ring is another common source of oil leaks. Do you see oil running down the side of the cylinder head?
If you could post pictures it would be much easier to pinpoint the source.

As far as your engine being sluggish - my first reaction is that it is a transmission problem, but it's hard to say at this point. Check the ATF (it is an automatic, right?) - should be at the proper level and not dark, burnt-smelling, etc. Does it run fine at idle, and in other gears besides 1st. Does it feel like it is hesitating/misfiring?

If the metal pipe leaks at the bottom, will it just leak oil into the spark plug chamber or will it somehow manage to leak outside the head?
