The big 3 upgrade, any1 done it?

i got a 2000 camry and im planning on doing the big 3 upgrade, if you dont know what it is it refers to the 3 main wires

1) alternator positive to battery positive, 2) battery negative to chassis, and 3) engine ground to chassis.

my light dim when the subs hit and i heard this is one of the things you can do that not expensive.

if any1s done it let me know, i just look at the wiring and i just got dizzy, the wires go everywhere! so before i gonna tare my car apart i just want to get more info.

also could i just wire a second big 3 over the stock one?

You can do big 3 on top of your factory installed wires. If you are going to do big 3, I strongly recommend using gauge 0.

By the way I have a 5Kw system in my trunk.

Professionally I do recommend you to install HO alternator, but if you are working on very limited budget then you may want to install voltmeter on your system and make sure to always monitor your voltage and not to drop it less than 12.5V.

Depending on your HO, if your HO can do 160-180A in idle then you need a very small AGM batt just to be safe.
