93 camry le timing belt question

i just got a new timing belt and water pump installed on my 93 camry. i noticed it shakes a little more than it did before i got the timing belt done. The shaking only is when i put it in drive from a stop(while im on the break) or when i come to a stop in drive (while im on the break). I dont recall it shaking this much when i put it drive before i got the repair. When i rev the car in park it sounds great. The car seems like it has just as much power (when i went up a big hill going home) as it did before.

is this a sign of him installing the timing belt incorrectly? or is this normal for the timing to be slightly off after doing a new belt. He also mentioned to me that the one that came off was a little loose. I believe he used the same tension spring that was already on the car.

but you would think it would improve , not get worse right? i don't recall it shaking this much....its not shaking a ton, just more than what i used to.

any input would be greatly appreciated.

Timing belt does stretch with age, but very little compared to drive belts. The I4 doesn't have an automatic tensioner to take up that extra slack, and that's a reason for old belts being loose.

Check the "dog bone" mount on the passenger side strut tower to the engine. Is it backwards? Is the rubber cracked? Your description point more to mount problems.

How does the engine move when you shift from N to D or R?
