4th Generation Power window control works in one direction but not the other.

I recently installed new speakers in my 97 Camry LE. Now for some reason, I can not lower the front passenger window from the driver console. I can raise it but if I try to lower it it blows the main power window fuse. All other power windows work from the driver console and their individual switches. The problematic window works fine from its switch.

Also, I can no longer unlock my car from the driver side. I can lock it, but not unlock it. Unlocking/Locking works fine from the key fob thus the problem is not the lock motors.

I already replaced the fuse. Could it be just a bad switch block?
Any suggestions?

Regards, HG

bad grounding regarding the speakers may affect other electronics?
I wonder how the speaker/cables are interfering with the window driving motor.

That happened to my drivers door window once. Thank god my neighbor is an electrician. He spliced some wires and taped them together towards the front bottom part of the door jam and walla it worked!! 4 yrs and still working!

Remove the door panel and use a voltmeter to check for voltages at the connector to the motor. When you switch directions the voltages should reverse. If not look upstream at the wiring and the switch.
