I had my timing belt replaced because it broke while driving. Two days after the replacement my check engine light came on with code PO340. I took it back the shop that replaced the belt and they said that because the belt broke while driving it probably caused the code because of the camshaft sensor picking up a malfuntion. They cleared the code and said to drive it for a while and see if the code comes back. Btw..the car runs fine. Any thoughts on this???

As the mechanic suggested, wait to see if it throws the same code again after having cleared it.

It seems plausible. Not sure why it took two days to throw a code, though. So yeah, drive it for a while and see if it comes back or not.
