3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I'm about to buy new front links, tein lowering springs, new front toyota strut mounts and maybe tie rod ends so I don't have to pay for alignment twice. I was going to buy Deeza but I can no longer find the non greaseable version on Amazon or anywhere else.
Raybestos Service Grade links on Rock Auto are $14.95 each, are they any good? I am planning on buying those instead.
non greasable are LE-L601 (rear), 603 & 605 (fronts).
amazon lost supplier of Deeza parts, they cancelled my LE-L603 (one of front links), they sent me the other one and are shipping me finally the rear ones (LE-L601) for both cars soon. I placed my order on the 28th of May!
LE-L603 is on ebay at $24+8s/h from NY (isn't that where Koray Kuru location in TN last pointed to? hehe)
not sure if same ebay "authorized dealer" offers the other side LE-L605, surely he does not sell rear ones LE-L601, hoping amazon will send me those finally (still waiting for another pair to ship out).
not sure why rockauto no longer offers them. someone could shoot them an email and ask.
hehe yeah I missed the grease zerks they didn't install on the ball joints.
Raybestos used to be decent. Since the division was spun off by Dana Chassis I'm not sure any more. Even before then I wouldn't use the service grade stuff (always the "professional grade", for example PG-Plus).
Haha, I can't justify paying $120 for two OEM links. That doesn't make sense to me. I been driving without the front links installed for about two weeks and the handling is the same.
I just found out Masterpro(Oreilly) and Moog have the part numbers, I'm going to get them on Monday.
yeah OEM links just don't make sense ... terribly expensive ... and nothing superior in them... you can always go with Moog just paint them with rust protector if you plan on traveling up North and experience snow and salt road some day ... actually even moisture and rain eats unprotected Moog parts pretty quickly haha (someone from Calif posted this)
this reminds me that I need to bump the rusty Moog ball joint thread, I love doing that

I am not a believer in automotive lifetime warranties anymore.
usually it means that parts are shit and can fail often, so to keep customers company offers this warranty and keep replacing crap parts over and over (and you cover labor & downtime each time) ... just my sad 2 cents.
Nothing lasts forever, especially if it's Moog

I need to look into rust protectors, do they have some that are clear and you can spray on the boots as well?

I kinda taking my chances but oh well, new parts are better than broken ones. I'm just excited about how well my avy is going to handle and feel along with the silent ride since the clunking will be gone. I also did research and found the Tein is the most comfortable lowering spring, very close to OEM.
PM'ed Koray Kuru and guys don't sweat it, they are coming back in stock soon

Hi Jakub,
Thank you for your message and the letting us know the issues you had in purchasing our products.
The part numbers you told, LE-L601 603 and 605 have been temporarily out-of-stock because of recent high demand in the last couple months. We just had a new inventory arrived in our warehouse late this week and you should see those items back in stock within next week. I will send you another message as soon as they will be available for purchase through rockauto.com. You can always check rockauto.com for the stock availability to prevent order cancellations through other online retailers as rockauto.com sees our stock levels "live" and list products according to their immediate availability.
We apologize for this temporary outage and thank you again for your message. Have a good weekend.
Regards,
Koray Kuru
Deeza Chassis Parts
