A/C air circulation/direction problem...

1993 camry LE 4Cyl...

the A/C works great and is cold as it should be. but a problem I've noticed is that A/C air is leaking into other vents not selected on the "direction' dial..

example: when I have the knob set to blowing the A/C cold air through just the dash vents, I can still feel some cold air blowing on the windshield through the defrost vents.

Is this a gasket of some sorts on the flap door used to direct the air to the vents selected?

I have no clue on this one, but I have replaced the fan motor with ease in the past. if the repair is somehwere close in that area and not too hard to get to, i think I could do it on my own...

any thoughts?

There is a Gasket on the Mixer door connected to the Servo motor.

all it is.. is an adhesive Foam gasket material. Its probably deteriorated from years and years of wear.

I'm sure you can get the gasket material from Toyota, or find a similar material at a local hardware store.
