USA Difficult morning starts 1995 Camry LE 2.2 Auto

Just recently,my 1995 Camry LE 2.2 Auto has been unable to start in the morning- the car sits for about 12 hours. It cranks but does not fire. All dash lights and radio work. It takes over 10-20 tries to start. Afterwards, It starts up. I drive to work and back with no problems, but again, the engine fails to start in the morning.

My Specs:

287,000 miles
Battery is 2007 Duralast
Unknown on age of Alternator
Plugs and wires and coil were done in 2009
Noticed some corrosion in alternator connections
positive lead on battery was movable with some force.

I am going to Auto zone to get the battery/ charging system tested after work, but if the Alternator and battery test ok would the problem be fuel delivery related?
Thanks in advance!

could possibly be fuel pressure. Especially if the pressure regulator is bad. I would hook a pressure gauge up and crank the car over, see what the pressure is, and then stop cranking once the pressure peaks. if the car starts, shut it down and monitor the gauge.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did go to Autozone yesterday to test the battery/starter and alternator. The battery tested poorly. The starter and alternator tested fine. So I went to Sears and bought and installed a new Die hard Gold battery last night.

This morning the engine hesitated again. ??? Why was my battery bad? logically i think the alternator is failing, it is original 1995.

When the guy from Autozone tested the battery he did it while the engine was OFF. and it tested bad. Then we turned on the engine and tested it. However, i did not turn on the lights or place the blower on high-both were off. Would this have given a false reading on the alternator testing?

I will have to go back to Auto zone to retest the alternator with the blower on full blast and the headlights on and see if i get 14 volts.

ideas? am I thinking systematically as to why the new battery would fail?

Follow up:

So for the past couple of months, I have had intermitten cold starts overnight. However, my 1995 Camry is now failing to start after 8 hours of sitting.

I ordered a new fuel pressure regulator from Auto parts wharehouse. It will be installed this week. I will update with news.

New Fuel pressure regulator installed. Pressure is held. Problem is NOT fixed. Car cranks but does not fire after long periods of not being driven.

However mechanic found hooked up to computer and found ironious temp readings which led him to find a broken temp sensor wire... more to follow.
