how to attach a OEM roofrack???

Soo... I got an OEM roofeack at Pull-A-Part. And I was wondering how to go about putting it on??

It was attached with heavy duty bolts thru the roof. So the inside of the holes must be threaded in the roof.
I have a wagon. Idk if its different per body type...

Any help appriricoated!

swagger. I'm not sure how the rack attaches. I see no one replied, but I am assuming that it bolts up the same way that the other one was taken off... I would do it that way anyways

Well I would. But I don't know how to go about doing it. The bolts are like 2into long. And I don't know where to drill. I really don't want to mess that up. Lol

I can take pictures and measurements if you'd like....
I rode my bike to work today, so it will have to be tomorrow. You'll have to use some good sealant liberally to prevent leaking.

I wonder if your supposed to mount them where the support bars for the roof are? That would make the most sense to me considering that the roof is pretty thin.

I would like the rack up evenly, measuring the rack so its spaced correctly then mark off the holes with some kind chalk or something that will wipe off.

Is there that much metal that it would work?

You can always just use a washer/nut on the other side (provided there is enough space). I think you will only need two or three measurements to get you started. I'll try to post them some time tomorrow.

Take a close look at the first picture. It shows the lines in the roof that almost line up with the rack. The second two are measurements for the rear, last two are the front. Good luck!
