rough when on / off the accelerator

Hi,

My 96 Camry, 4cyl manual is very rough (it kinda kicks) when going on or off the accelerator.

It accelerates fine, idles ok, starts ok and is fine at high speed (80k plus) but under that it kinda feels like it is missing.

I replaced the engine mounts recently as they didn't appear to be too good. Didn't do the gearbox mount. How much play should there be? I can move the gearbox on its mount pretty easily but not a great distance.

It has 330k on it.

Could the gearbox mount be doing that?

Also I noticed when I had the discs off last that there is play in them. They don't fit snug on the bolts and can be moved a few mm either way. Could this be causing part of my problem ore are they designed like that?

What your describing sounds normal. I would try to push the clutch in and release it he next time your want to take off while cruising. I could be way off but that's what it sounds like to me

The rotors are supposed to be like that too. The just slide over the wheel studs
