Oil pump doesn't have to be timed. If you pull the oil pump off, you have to make sure the rotors are facing in the right direction, but not an issue if you're just doing a timing belt / water pump job.
The four oil leakers until the timing cover: the camshaft oil seal, the crankshaft oil seal, the oil pump shaft seal, and the oil pump o-ring.

One of the previous posts in this forum showed how to replace the oil pump shaft seal by taking the pump completely apart, but the guy didn't replace the pump bearings.

I suppose you could rebuild it, but I don't think I've ever heard of the bushing going bad.
IMHO, if you want to "rebuild", buy an Aisin oil pump off of ebay (same pump with the "Toyota" ground off), and use whatever you want from the pump. Last time I did that, I just left the old housing on the car (didn't feel like messing with the oil pan), and swapped everything else over. Cost you around $100 shipped -- doubt you could get much cheaper once you've bought the bushing, shaft seal, o-ring, and rotors.
