'00 5s-fe @ 80k miles, M1 FS 5W-30 TBN UOA after Winter / BlackStone

Just wanted to share Oil Sample analysis with TBN results for our 4 cylinder car running full synthetic.

Car was filled with a mixture of oils in Dec '10 right before solid Winter hit us hard

Oils used:
+Mobil1 Full Synthetic 5w-30 (3qts)
+Valvoline premium (conventional, old opened bottle) 5w-30 (0.2qts)
+Lucas Synthetic Oil Stabilizer (0.5qts)
filter used was M1 Extended Performance filter

driven only 1,400 miles, but it was 6 months OCI anyways. was curious how the bearings inside engine behave, so did the analysis.

I was particularly interested in seeing those results as this engine shows the symptoms of a bearing noise, especially when it's cold. appears it's not too bad inside the case, which is good news to me



it doesn't look terrible at all!

interesting note on Valvoline increasing the Sodium particles in sample (just as Royal Purple was increasing Molybdenum), because of a little of Valvoline oil I mixed with M1 FS.
