if your looking for just a scanner to pull codes, i would just go to autozone or advanced where they can pull your codes for free.

if your looking to read Datastream and monitor datastream, I would suggest getting the Bluetooth or USB Scanner from ebay

there is a difference between code readers and code scanners. you linked a code reader. yes, that will tell you what number is causing the CEL. i have a similar one from harbor freight that works on the camry. code scanners are a fair amount more and pinpoint the problem. ive had good luck over the years with only a reader, but there was one time i needed to borrow a buddy's scanner to fix a friend's car.
