lol definitely more than $1000.00. You cant even get a motor and transmission for under $1000.00 (You will also need the 6cyl. transmission).

to do a complete swap, your probably looking at

$600.00 for the motor
$600.00 for the transmission
$150.00 for the ecu
$100.00 for the engine harness
$80.00 for the dash harness
$70.00 for the Cluster
$200.00 for the motor mounts
$100.00 for the fan assembly
$50.00 for the power steering pump (Runs fans)
$30.00 for the shift linkage

I may be missing some stuff, but lets see the total:

$1980.00 * .06 for florida sales tax = $2098.00

prices may vary, just giving you a rough idea of what u will need to get. It makes more sense just to go with what u got already

thank you very much for the info! i appreciate it. one more quick question if you dont mind. If i do a v4 to v4 swap do i need to purchase anything besides the engine?

and i meant will the stuff besides the engine cost more than a grand, not the whole project. but your numbers show it does so you answered the question. thanks again.

nope, if u get the 4cylinder it will be a direct swap.

only thing you might want to do is replace the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, timing seals (cam and crank), and rear main seal.
