how do i restore my wiring harness

hey,

my wiring harness is ripping apart.

im going to replace the oem wiring loom with new fire retardant wiring loom. im going to tape up the new wiring loom with 3m wiring harness tape.

for those 1 or 2 wire plugs, the factory doesn't use wiring loom to protect it. they use some kind of really thin hollow rubber/plastic tubing. does anyone know where i can get this ? (for example look at the horn plug behind the grill. it isn't protected with a loom but with the really thin hollow tube)

I replaced the hollow loom with regular loom because some mice ate alot around engine. I used a razor blade to cut out the old loom.

does it work pretty well ? the only reason i didn't want regular loom was cause it doesnt bend very easily where the hollow loom is more bendable

Yes it's bendable, it comes circled up in the package. I used it around the radiator fans on the fan harnesses, with no problem.

you can get various kinds of wire protectors (heat shrink tubes, plastic flexible pipes and such) at local Harbor Freight Tools cheap in electrical section, as well as all needed tools, butt connectors, solder guns, tape, wires and such...

I like using the hard plastic loom that is originally around some of the wires on the engine. Ill post up a pic in a bit.

Works great and is easy to install, just twist it on
