(7A650 5S-FE usa) doesnt say nothing esle on the sticker i got a 2000 solara 2.2 motor blown trying to buy used one but dnt kno if cali or fed

Unless it's fallen off, the underside of the hood of the car should have a sticker giving the vacuum routing diagram and the emissions spec.

look at the exhaust manifold heatshield, if it looks like mine exactly then it's California emission specs:


Federal emission specs has the upstream oxygen sensor down there at bottom while California one has the Air Fuel Ratio sensor at the top part.

either way I haven't heard of or seen yet a Federal emission specs on any Solara sold in US/CA market, so it's probably California specs.

It really doesn't matter what emissions it is. Just swap everything from your current motor to the new motor and you'll be fine. The motors are exactly the same

Angry Help me plz

ive looked at the vac sticker under the hood and the emission label and all its says is 5S-fe usa.. and on the vac sticker it says USA & Canada.. N i dont have a heat sheild SO CAN SUM1 HELP ME

it's very simple WHERE the upstream o2 sensor is located? at the top (like I said before, it is on any Calif model like mine) or down there at bottom (Federal). heat-shield itself is meaningless.

call the dealer if you have any doubts, I'm sure the Parts Counter guy will tell you exactly based on car's VIN which one it is.
