USA Need Tips to remove the EGR valve on 2001 Solara 5sfe

I was trying to remove the EGR valve so I can clean it. I got the 2 nuts off that connected to the intake but I was having a very hard time on taking off the one that connected to the EGR tube. It has a very tiny space. I could fit my socket in but I couldn't pull it. It literally took me 2 hours.....
Any tip that I can take that piece of shit out?

Use the box end of a combination wrench on the bolt, and turn the wrench by a hex-bit socket on the open end with an extension and ratchet. Watch the direction so you don't end up tightening.

do you mean the 10mm bolts to EGR exhaust pipe? I f yes then you can do them once you removed the valve together with pipe off the car. just unboltthe bottom end of that pipe from engine head. you will need a crescent key, like 6'' will do, it worked for me, but it takes a lot of elbow grease to remove the union nut (or whatever it's called) ... I actually could barely use my hand wrist for next week after removing and re-installing it ...

word of caution though, those damn 10mm head bolts from EGR valve to pipe like to rust and snap on loosening, so be careful.

yeah, that's exactly what I meant and that damn thing is so tiny and the space is so little, once i fit a socket in their, i can barely turn that wrench. So your suggestion is to get under the car and remove the EGR tube?

the bolts that attach on the intake is not a big deal but the one that secure the tube and the valve is stupid. Im thinking of doing a EGR delete, suggestion?
