where to buy used engine

hey,

where do you guys buy your used engines at ? im trying to buy a used 3mz and have found prices around 800-1k. is that a good price ? im sure i can find them for a lot cheaper from local sellers but i dunno where to look

That's about what i would expect to pay for a low mileage great condition motor.

I would see $500-$600.00 a more feasible amount.

but they're all like 100k mile engines. i dont think thatd be considered a low milege good condition engine.

any ideas of where i could buy a 3mz for around 600usd ?

Probably at a local salvage yard.. I know in pa there's a couple up around where my home town is. I can check when I get back to pa if you'd like

^ Don't think so. Also, check on craigslist and eBay. But junkyards will typically be your best choice.
