Lights won't go off

Day time running lights and dash warning lights won't turn off even with the usual opening of the door ect. The dash warning lights stay on but they are dim. DTR lights stay on too. I can even run my A/C. Thought it was the ignition switch but ruled that out, EVEN THOUGH I cleaned up the back half of it and it worked for about 2 weeks. Then I swapped it out with my other Camry, no dice.

Car guy got it and changed out the ECU?? the $400 module. Seemed to work for a few days then back to the same of sheet. Have to get out and disconnect the battery. My theory is it has something to do with the DTR lights. Saw in a better manual that there is a module for it to the right side of the radio on the drivers side. Funny thing, I changed out the radio and again, it worked great for a while. So I'm leaning on that module or maybe the emergency brake switch that might have something to do with it?? I even checked the door switches. I'm baffled and out $600!! so far.

Next, is that test port on the top passenger side in the engine bay for testing your electronics?? Is there a tester to plug up to it that will read your electrical system like the ODBC reads the engine stuff??

Try the switch on the inside of the driver's side door jamb. This switch usually turns off the headlights when the key is turned to the OFF position + the driver's door opens. It's easy to replace - I have an extra (I think) if you need it

Funny animal this thing is. Can't understand why it works fine....sometimes if you do something sort of irrelevant to it, then it starts back up. Got up under the dash last night and can't find anything. My Haynes book is about useless for this. I can't even find out where the relay is for it I think the biggie here is, it keeps the ignition HOT like the key is on, lighting up you prestart warning lights. A door jam switch doesn't do that. I've even disconnected the back of the ignition switch and rotated it manually just to take the tumbler out of the equation to see if it was hitting something keeping the system HOT.
