3sgte is the hardest of all swaps, e153 is the prefered trans, and you have to run the 3sg(t)e ecu because of the diffrent heads look up post by zoni here he just got it done

I've spoken with zoni.. he regrets its a lot that he didn't go 1mzfe route with supercharger. he spent so much on his setup, just to be unique, and the gains he saw weren't where he wanted them to be..much less the recent thread shows that his 3sgte project came to a halt. Just go with 1mz and supercharge it like specialmen said.

Depends how he spent his money and if he has a Gen 2 or 3.
If he did a straight drop it'll out perform a 1mz out the box.
Throw on some cams and it'll probably almost match a 1mz S/C at 5lbs.
Just saying.

you should know about zoni gen 3 with the oil burninging issues, but were talking a engine at 5lbs out of the box vs 3,0 at the same power n/a. then you have the vest the same money to hit the same cap, over all your hitting the same cap when it comes to dolla for dolla. if you want a quick swap to be at 300hp them 1mz, if your looking at 700hp then either way, but like anything it come down to what you want to spend

if you already have a 3vz then turboing that is the easiest way to go. BUT its all custon fab and custom tuning. A 3sgte would be a stock setup but would cost more (or less depending on how and where you source parts for either project) and would require more wiring.
