I want to reset the computer (ECM...etc) in my 94 V6 camry. Can I do this by clearing the memory/codes through the OBDII port scanner, or by unplugging the power from the battery under the hood?

Best to reset the code with the scanner. Pulling the battery makes the ECU have to relearn the fuel trims and such....not to mention you lose the presets on the radio

I want to completely reset the computer..fuel trims...everything. How would I disconnect the battery, negative first than positive, or just negative? For how long should it be disconnected?

To make as less intrusive to your day as possible, do it over night-- ie at the end of your day. If you want an actual time, 20 to half hour should do it.

Do the Negative first so you don't accidentally ignite anything via grounded spark.

Or pull the EFI fuse for a minute or two. This saves the radio settings.
