Worried about oil pressure.

1992 5SFE Auto

While hot and idling my oil pressure is pegged out on zero, but no light comes on. I have a new switch and new gauge (though it doesn't look to be calibrated for lower pressures). On start up after sitting a short while it takes about 1-3 seconds for oil pressure to build up enough to turn off the light. On a 4000 mile oil change I don't even have to add a quart of oil, and the new gauge piping doesn't have any leaks. A Hyundai and Mazda I have access to both build enough pressure to turn off the light immediately on startup.

Car is running, no warning light, gauge is pegged on zero.

50 mph. My tachometer reads low. Anybody with an auto 5sfe know what rpm it takes to maintain 50mph on a flat surface?

Video of hot startup. If it's cold then when the warning light goes off the pressure will jump to 40-50 psi.

The delayed light has been going on for a while. Recently I replaced the leaky oil pan gasket and while I had the pan off I cleaned the relief valve. To get better access I removed the pickup / strainer. I didn't replace the pickup gasket because I couldn't get one on short notice and I live by a dirt road. Letting the bottom end fill up with sand seemed like a worse idea than replacing the gasket.

Should I go back in and replace the gasket? If the oiling system is pumping air I doubt it would build up as much pressure as quickly as if it was pumping oil, but it did this before I replaced the oil pan gasket. Is there anything else I should check? The car runs flawlessly so I'm not sure if there really is a problem, but between the delayed warning light and low oil pressure at idle I'd like to be sure.
