have a 95 camry le and i was driving on the highway one day and it shut off on me and never came back on.It turns over but turns out there is no spark fuel pump doesent kick and the check engine light doesent show when i turn the key to acc.I changed ecm from my relatives running camry and still no go.All ecm fuses are still good.Anyone have any idea what i should look for?
Is it possible for the ecu to lose its connection to ground ?
I would try to find a clean ground point on the ecu and check for conductivity between that point and a clean point on the car chassis.
... The idea is that there might be corrosion on a ground wire connection or something like that .....
... When doing something like this you have to be particularly careful that your test points are actually clean .... i.e. bright shiny metal.
A possibility ... not making any bets though.

You'll probably need a pin location diagram, but here goes anyway.
Non-California - Auto: There is an ECU fuse and EFI relay. On the 95 the ECU connector has 3 sections each with upper and lower pin connectors numbered right to left; 26 pin(A), 16 pin(B), 22 pin(C). Pin C1 (Upper Right) is always battery voltage and Pin C12 (Lower Right) is battery voltage when ignition switch ON. A1 (Upper Right) is ground. Locations are looking at ECU side of connectors where "A" is on the left and "C" is on the right. You will probably need to back probe.
I'd also check the EFI relay if the ECU fuse is OK.

I never understand why people that are looking for help can't spend the time to create a detailed signature/profile of their vehicle
Did the CEL light come on before this happened when you were at KOEO
what makes you think it is the ECU?

Follow up on Stillrunning's comment. Check the 15A EFI Fuse, located in
J/B No. 2, inside engine compartment, driver side. toward the front of the car.
Just to be safe, disconnect the negative battery cable, then inspect the
EFI fuse, making sure the fuse contacts are clean and free of oxidation.
Replace with a new fuse and reconnect the battery cable.
Also check the 10A Gauge Fuse .... J/B No. 1 ... located left of steering wheel, lower dash, far left box. .... This might be cause the CEL not to show and the fuel pump not to work.

Sorry about the vehicle details thing but i was thinking it was the ecu because most cars i ve worked on that was always the way of checking if the ecu was comming on is the cel light. Also the cel light always worked before n just to make sure i changed it out with the seatbelt light to make sure .I also tried jumping e1 and te1 together and still no light.I will double check those fuses again but last time i checked with a testor they were getting power on both sides.

I am new here and don't know the specific details of this issue. it sounds like the others do.....so I will stay out of it.....but I also thought that a broken timing belt would produce a instant dead car that cranks....I don't know how a broken TB would effect the other things.........I have been on these forums for years and can't stress enough how a good signature makes the process easier....it saves a lot of time and posts to get to the specifics.....sorry if I come across like an obnoxious a-hole ...I am not...

Thats a big jump concluding its the ECM without testing.
