4th Generation Upsteam O2 sensor

Very quick simple question, I just need to know if the OEM O2 upstream sensor comes with the connector ie. plug and play. a former co-worker of mine changed his on a nissan and he got it from advance auto i think and it came with heat shrink etc. so i wasn't sure if the oem one would come with the connector attached as well
thanks in advance

The Toyota part comes with the connector. You can also get the Denso-equivalent part that comes with the connector (Denso also makes a "universal" O2 sensor that has to be spliced to the old connector, so make sure you order the correct part...a good online place like Rockauto has pictures, so it's easier not to screw up).

OEM sensors come with the plugs attached. No splicing required.

I think rock Auto has the OEM direct fit ones for $25. some people change these as maintenance........I was wondering why you are changing yours?

its kinda a long story basically a while ago in the process of trying to redo the fibg on the oil pan when i was trying to take the flex pipe down, i snapped one stud, one stud came out with the bolt when i undid it, and the 3rd only the nut came off. later had a guy help me use vise grips on the top of the stud to get it out, in the process of doing that it messed up the threads on the stud so when we turned it out, it messed up the threads on the inside i manged to get the stud in but in the process of tightening it somehow the nut got stripped and my flex pipe is being held on by one nut. i went to a friend of a co-workers house on sat he he asked who told him to replace the manifold and i told him nobody i just don't want to mess with it anymore and want to have new studs/manifold etc (theres no leak around the manifold etc) so if I ever actually get around to change the oil pan sealant i won't have any problems, problem is we were having trouble getting the o2 sensor out and problem would be if the threads got stripped trying to get it out of the old manifold, i wouldn't be able to get it into the new manifold and i would be stuck there. Not sure if the car would either run like crap without and o2 sensor or not even run at all.

oh,
try this when remove the old sensor, use 7/8" or 22mm 6 point box ended wrench, you should able to fit the harness through the wrench, then either start your car until hot, or use a portable, yellow can propaone torch, torch the oxygen sensor hole on exhaust only until cherry red, not the o2 sensor itself, it should be easy to come off then.
