v6 pass axle/intermediate shaft removal?

I bought the whole passenger side axle assemble from a junkyard (includes cv axle, intermediate shaft, and motor mount bracket that bolts to the motor). I already have my old one off but I need to switch brackets. I have the old bracket free of the axle assembly but can't get the other one free. I beat on it with a sledge hammer with a 2x4 woodblock on the end of the shaft so that I won't damage the splines. I'm assuming if I use a torch to heat the mount bracket it would destroy the bearings on the shaft and I need that shaft to be in one piece. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks in advanced

A few bucks? I dropped it off at a shop and they said it could be up to 40 bucks. Lol hopefully they don't break it and everything goes smooth

Got it back from shop and the bearing isn't turning at all. I can't find a new shaft and if I find anotherone at a salvage yard it may do the same thing so is it safe to use it anyway for the mean time?
