Noise in left front

I have a rattling in the drivers side wheel area. I noticed yesterday that if I let go of the wheel the car pulls very strongly to the left. This has me worried . I'm gonna go and look to see if anything is broken. Any ideas on what it could be and is driving the car dangerous at this time? I don't want the wheel to fall off !

Thanks

With regard to the wheel well noise, get it inspected by a qualified mechanic ... immediately.

I had a steering problem .... constantly drifted off the road ....required considerable force to hold the car on the road.
The resolution to that particular problem was new tires. Apparently, there was a belt or cord within one tire that had broken, and was causing the steering drift force.

One diagnostic option is to switch the front tires to the back of the car.

Even though there was tread remaining on my tires, I bought an entire new set.
.... No more steering drift concerns.

Your problem description has an additional complication .... It sounds like there might be something that is mechanically wrong.

Hope you have time to update the post when you find out what's going on ......

Offhand, not sure what would cause the pull, but this sounds pretty dangerous. Definitely a "get it fixed now" rather than a "get it fixed later" issue...

I did pull the tires today, boy was it hot out there, and I had two other guys who know more than me look at the hardware for the wheels with me and everything was nice and tight. I was not expecting to find Zilch. At least if I found something loose or bent or broken I would have something to work with.

When the evening cools off a little, I think I will move the rears to the front and see if that makes any difference.

Funny thing too is I still have a noise and can't find anything loose.

If you think of something else let me know, I'll tell you how the tire rotation goes.

Thanks

I switched tires front to back, problem in drift solved, thanks.
The car is steering great.
I must have a defective tire also.
Also the noise in the front is still there but does not sound as bad or as
frequent.

I did inspect the front end on both sides today and everything looked and felt fine. I had two others look at it also and they said it was good, and they are almost professional.

Looks like I've got more work to do.
