USA Air Conditioning

2000 Camry - CE 5S-FE

This may be a stupid question, but where is the port where I recharge the air conditioning.
There is a port on a thin aluminum tube right in front of the radiator between the radiator and the grill, but... I went and bought a recharge kit for R134 systems and it didn't fit. Is that the wrong port or does the camry need some special adapter? It's a 2000 so I think it has to be R134.

Help!

Please

Use the low pressure port. It'll be the larger tube.

The port is located right by the passenger side firewall. I have an '00 also and the cap you unscrew to access the port has an L for low on it. It is the fatter of the two pipes bending around there. The kit you have can only access that fitting, as they are made that way to prevent accessing the high side fitting - a definite no-no.
