Hi everyone,
I have looked around for a couple hours trying to find a solution to my problem, hopefully you all will be able to assist me with this problem. Well, I was driving home on my lunch break from work, and suddenly all the lights on my dashboard light up (check engine, oil, seat belt, ect). Almost as soon as that happen I began to lost power in the car itself, and it seemed as if the power steering was effected also as it was extremely hard to turn as I went onto a side road. So I park it off to the side of the road turn it off for a second and try to start it back up, only to find that it will not start now. I'm at a loss as to what the problem is I have recently replaced the starter about 4 months ago roughly, and the battery is less then 6 months old inside it. But anyway it will turn over, but it does not go any further then that the engine will not start. As of now it is stranded about 2 miles from my house, so any advise at all is welcome. Thanks in advance for all your help.
Not sure how much of a car background you have but here goes...
Basically...yer engine died/shut down. When that happens...there's no power to turn the power steering pump which would make it hard to turn the steering wheel.
You'll need to check fer air/fuel/spark.
Was the check engine light on before this happened?
How much gas do you have? Did you refuel prior to this happening? Possibly bad gas...or not enough gas?
Engine is turning over so it shouldn't be a frozen/seized engine.
Do you know where all yer fuses are? There is an internal and engine bay fuse box. Check all yer fuses to make sure something didn't blow. Removal and testing is better than just glancing at the top of the fuse. Just don't pull them all out at once unless you like solving puzzles...
In the internal fuse panel, check the 15A ECU-IG and the 5A IGN fuses. In the engine bay panel, check the 15A ECU-B fuse.
The internal fuse panel should be behind the driver's side coin/ashtray. The engine bay one should be obvious (located near the battery).
Not sure which engine you have as you didn't specify...
Did anything like this happen previously?

I don't know a lot about the Camry yet. but I do know about cars and being as it does not seem like there is an over abundance of help on this forum I will give it a shot
As Bamzip said you need to check that you air intake did not get suddenly clogged up somehow(not very likely but possible)...........then you need to test for spark and fuel.......a simple way to start is to spray starter fluid into the throttle body and see if it fires at all........if it fires then you know you have a fuel issue.......if it does not fire pull a spark-plug wire off and test for spark. then report back.....

As mentioned in an earlier post, check the ECU-IG fuse ... located behind coin box ... left of steering column.
Could be faulty ignition switch .... how many miles on your car?
Jiggle your ignition switch .... see if that produces any results.
If the ECU-IG fuse checks to be good, take a voltmeter or test light, and with the ignition switch turned to ON, see if you can get 12V on either one of the ECU-IG fuse clip terminals .... that is, with the ECU-IG fuse removed. Do you know how to do this?

Sounds like you need a new timing belt. Pop the 2 10mm bolts on the timing belt cover and have someone crank and look to see if belts moving. If not then its your problem.
