Good god...what did i break?

While trying to look cool by hardwiring a valentine 1 into the camry....

I ended up having to take a hold on that when I realized my radio/map light/clock arent working anymore

I checked the fuse under the dash for the clock/radio and its perfect....so what did I break?

I decided to post this early in case I don't figure it out on my own in the next few hours. Figured I'd at least do one smart thing today.

Were you splicing into the clock/radio harness, or were you running wire back to the fusebox?

Hard to narrow this down remotely -- take ye olde voltmeter and start tracing back the power leads (be sure to have the ignition in the right position, otherwise it's going to look dead-er than it really is).

Ruh roh shaggy. Might have fried some wires.

Did you have the battery connected while performing electrical mods?

Well that's quite a difficult question to answer.

....Yes I had the battery connected. I was stealing the power from the passenger side sun visors light which I didn't use anyways.

Just for the sake of someone who may also run into this issue in the future and find this thread, it turns out there a mini 20 amp fuse in the engine bay labeled "Dome" that apparently sends out some power to the things that I thought I blew up.

Excellent, 45 cent fix.
