My 92 Camry wont start someone help please?!

ok so yesterday the car started miss firing looked under the hood and the spark plug wire for cyl 3 had a crack in it and was throwing a spark through there. i wrapped it in electrical tape mean while i drove to autozone to buy a set of new wires a cap and a new rotor. but before we put anything on me and a friend had the bright idea of pressure washing the engine bay, once we were done i turned on for about 30 seconds threw a check engine light and turned off. after that we noticed that water got in were the spark plugs are at. it wasnt much so we vaccumed all the water out and i checked all of the fuses under the hood and they were all good. after that we put on all the parts i bought and nothing it just turns over and smells like gas after a while. i also hooked up the scanner to it to check what the check engine light came on for and we got no thing no codes evercame up. iive ran out of ideas of what else might be wrong with it can anyone help please the car is auto 4cyl

Yer gonna need to git some WD-40 and spray yer plug tops and wire boots. Just so you know...WD-40 was formulated as a water displacement...hence the WD designation.
