2nd Generation 92 camry speedo not working

Hey eveyone, I have a 92 camry v6 with auto. My speedo does not work, however the trip odometer barely works and my cruise , tachometer works.

Is there a cable or wiring that I can check. I have looked on the transmission and are unable to locate the cable.

Please help.

Thanks

See if you can find the speed sensor on the transmission.
The FSM diagram shows it to be a little to the left and a little straight back from the oil filler cap ... if you are standing in front of the engine.... I think that is the oil filler cap.

It should have three wires:
red with blue stripe .... going to 10A Gauge Fuse ... this is terminal #1
purple ... this is terminal #2
light green ... this is terminal #3

Also just check the 10A Gauge Fuse .... since it is easy to get to ( fuse box behind the coin tray inside the passenger cabin).

The manual gives a basic speed sensor test ... just connecting 12v, rotating the axle and observing voltmeter output change.
