Brake Light/Spoiler LED Help

My first post! wondering if you guys could help me out..
So I just installed a spoiler on my 2000 Camry LE V6 complete with the LED light, and I planned on running just the one brake light which is on the spoiler and removing the stock one.
However that annoying "check tail light" light comes up when the stock brake light is removed. Is there any way to fix this so that the "check tail light" icon doesn't pop up anymore? Thanks.

(fyi the wire with the blue line connects to the spoiler light, also the check taillight pops up only when the bulb is removed from the socket..)

Thanks!

LEDs on the spoiler draws much less current combined than that one bulb. The light failure sensor (in driver side of trunk behind the fabric) senses the reduced current draw and thought that bulb is out. Looks like you'll need that bulb in as a load resistor, or delete the sensor, wire around it, and sell that sensor for good money. If you let go of the sensor, might as well go all LED, but the onus is then on you to periodically check that the tail lights are all working.

To further what Buurin said

From http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...bulb-notes.htm

Quote:
Dash indicators reporting burnt out bulbs

LED bulbs may cause some newer vehicles to indicate a bulb is burnt out (because of their low power consumption). Some cars indicate this by increasing the flash rate of the turn signals, some turn on a bad bulb indicator. The only fix for this is to install Load Resistors across the bulbs that are being indicated as bad. Some vehicles will also disable the cruise control system if a brake light bulb is being indicated as bad, the installation of Load Resistors will also solve this problem.
They have load resistors on their website. I'm sure ebay has them as well. But I'd prolly just find a place to tuck and hide that bulb.

Run a resistor where the old light was with the same resistance as the old light

Problem solved

actually if you can undo that, put the bulb back in. I had a oe style spoiler with led strip put in, but I didn't tap the third brake light i tapped into the back right combo brake light with two connectors without a resistor. gimme a little bit and I'll take pics ( oh and btw I don't get a check bulb light)

Thanks for all the help, I think I'm going to go with the load resistor because the bulb really heats up if I keep it in.
But how do I know what kind of resistor will work? Does it say somewhere on the sensor? or will basically any type work?

I'm looking at the "RL-2525" here:

Thanks a lot guys
